Beware of Black Friday

Today was Thanksgiving Sunday and in lieu of the traditional open mic sharing, Pastor Rick felt the Lord leading us to focus on what happens the day after Thanksgiving. Preaching from Mark 7: 1-5, Pastor Rick warned us about the dangers of hypocrisy.

Experiencing God…In Prosperity

Pastor Dan continued our series in Experiencing God. Today he preached about Experiencing God in times of Prosperity from Proverbs 30: 7-9 and Luke 12: 16-20. Pastor Dan emphasized the importance of keeping money in the right prospective and to be thankful to God for everything.

Experiencing God … In Relationships

Pastor Dan continued our series Experiencing God in Relationships. Preaching from Matthew 22: 34-40, Pastor Dan emphasized “You shall love your neighbor as yoursel”.

Experiencing God … While Serving

Pastor Dan continued on the “Experiencing God” series through sharing about the time he spent volunteering at the Union Rescue Mission and spending the night in downtown L.A.

Revaluing Your Treasures

Pastor Keith Tanita from the Heavenly Treasures spoke today from Matthew 6:19-21. He spoke about Revaluing and stressed that revaluing helps you see the true value of your possessions, it will bless you by blessing others and revaluing will show you where your trust lies

Pastor Rick encourages us to invite our “Nathanael” to “come and see” how great our God is.

Our Lord Prays for our Unity

Pastor Dan Wong continued with his series on outreach with a passage from John 17:20-24. Dan reminded us that 1) the type of oneness Jesus asks for is like the unity that He has with the Father, 2) the basis of our unity is the glory that Jesus has given to us and 3) the purpose and result of our unity is our witness to the world. The church family then shared communion together.

Our Lord’s Commission

Pastor Dan continues his series, speaking from Matthew 28:18 - 20.

Point #1: Our Lord has a great heart for the lost - We should have the same heart for the lost

Point #2: Our Lord has great authority. This is the foundation for the commission.

Point #3: We have a great privilege. Our reason for living is to make disciples of all nations to the glory of God.

Point #4: Our Lord gives us great assurance.

Pastor Rick Matsuda shared today from Matthew 14. He spoke of how Jesus served the needs of others, even while he was mourning John the Baptist’s death. Despite our inadequacies and failures, God can use us to serve.

Our Master’s Service

Pastor Dan Wong spoke today from John 13. He talked about how Jesus served his disciples knowing He was going to die, knowing He was God and knowing that He will betrayed. Dan highlighted that serving is a way of demonstrating God’s love for people, our love for God and how serving brings blessings.
