We just finished putting everything away from another awesome Harvest Festival! Thanks to everybody for helping out and especially Darrin for all the planning. Good work everybody! Now we are in November and looking forward to turkey and all the trimmings. But before we get to that let’s look at the sermon and events schedules for the month:

Start packin’ for SonRock Kids Camp… the coolest camp ever! Enjoy adventurous games, creative crafts, hilarious skits, and delicious snacks at the Hungry Bear Lodge. And this year we get to hear about Peter’s adventures with Jesus! SonRock Kids Camp… where kids learn to build their life on the ROCK! We are looking for campers between the ages of 4 and 10 (or entering the 5th grade). For more information download the registration form by clicking on the SonRock logo at the beginning of this post. Our camp directors, Wendy and Kris, are also looking for help around the camp from the “older” kids, so let them know if you able to help.

It is time for the annual Relay for Life. A 24 hour event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness about the fight against cancer. On Saturday, April 25th at 9:00am until Sunday, April 26th at 9:00am, a team from Victory Fellowship will attempt to have at least one person walking for 24 straight hours. This year is the 25th anniversary of the event, so there will be plenty of celebrating going on! Some of the highlights of the day will be the opening ceremony, the Luminaria Ceremony, and the always popular pancake breakfast. Please come to Wilson Park to support us, as well as all the other teams and walkers. If you would like to participate, we still have open time slots available, so contact Darrin Chun to see when you can walk. It’s that time of year again! Get ready for the Victory Fellowship Harvest Festival on October 31st. Dinner will be served before the game booths are open, so come early.
