It is time for the annual Relay for Life. A 24 hour event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness about the fight against cancer. On Saturday, April 25th at 9:00am until Sunday, April 26th at 9:00am, a team from Victory Fellowship will attempt to have at least one person walking for 24 straight hours. This year is the 25th anniversary of the event, so there will be plenty of celebrating going on! Some of the highlights of the day will be the opening ceremony, the Luminaria Ceremony, and the always popular pancake breakfast. Please come to Wilson Park to support us, as well as all the other teams and walkers. If you would like to participate, we still have open time slots available, so contact Darrin Chun to see when you can walk. Pastor Rick Matsuda spoke today from Colossians 3:1-4 and Mark 9:31-37. He pointed out that we need to set our hearts and mind on things above. We need to make sure that we make small, minor course adjustments to make sure we are still on track with God.
